Help Us Rise!

Every gift helps turn potential into opportunity.

Choose How You Give

Give in the way that works best for you — with a one-time or monthly donation. Monthly gifts provide steady support that helps us plan ahead, grow our programs, and reach more young people.

Smaller monthly gifts can also be easier to budget for while providing sustainable, ongoing support.

Thank you for helping the next generation rise.

"I’ve learned that I can in fact save my money and reach my saving goals. But it might take some time and effort."

— Participant, Rise Up Series (Financial Literacy 101)
“Before I went to [Engineering 101], a lot of people were like ‘I was not interested in engineering like at all.’ I kind of had this preconceived notion about what it would be but after going there it actually looks really interesting and I feel like I would learn a lot from that."

— Participant, Rise Up Series (Engineering 101)
"My favourite part is definitely the community and support. Connecting with so many people and being able to understand everyone skills and learn from them. I feel like having that support system has helped a lot to understand what I can and cannot do."

— Muniira, Computer Science Student (joined RISE in 2019)
“As part of our knowledge sharing activities, our research team has prepared a series of reports and presentations to engage community members around our recommendations. We launched a youth-focused Wellness Series promoting mental health, self-care, and movement. This series was informed by insights from our research, emphasizing the importance of holistic well-being as students navigate their academic and career pathways.

- Devaughn, Peer Researcher, Rise In STEM
“This class taught me more about cooking techniques, that I will be applying very soon."

Youth Participant — Culinary Program with Roger Mooking (Wellness Series)
“This opportunity was insightful. This research team taught me more about the community and ways to develop programs to enhance the issues at stake”

Kemi, Peer researcher
"The main thing I learned was being like a kid doesn’t mean you can’t do a lot of things. It’s just kids might not have leaders around them that can help them. Since I want to become a software engineer when I’m older, Rise In STEM has a really big part of my future."
