About the opportunity: These scholarships are open to students who have enrolled in first year post-secondary education, as well as mature students beginning university, college, or other recognized post-secondary program for Fall 2026. Students who have excelled academically and have performed voluntary community services and activities should apply. Residents of Malton are prioritized but must reside in Peel. All students that identify as Black or African descent are welcome to apply.

Amount: $1,500

Deadline: Nov 1st, 2026

Eligibility:

•  Complete the Scholarship Application Form in full and ensure all information is legible.

• Submit a personal biography of approximately 200 words

•  Provide a recent photograph (headshot preferred).

• Include your current email address and cell phone number, or an alternate emergency contact number.

• Participate in an interview (virtual or in-person) if invited by the Scholarship Committee.

•  If selected as a scholarship recipient, attend the Scholarship Awards Ceremony and help promote the scholarship opportunity within your community and network.
