About the opportunity:
The Learning Disabilities Association of York-Simcoe (LDAYS) Bursary Opportunities LDAYS is pleased to offer a range of bursaries to support students with learning disabilities. This application form is specific to the Renee Flannery Endowment bursary. Renée worked at the Learning Disabilities Association for over 25 years. Her love for the adults she worked with and her contributions to the LDAYS community left a legacy that her family chose to continue by providing an annual endowment to support individuals with LDs receive support to continue their post-secondary education.

Amount: $1,000

Deadline: August 7th, 2026

Eligibility:

  • Candidates must reside in York Region or Simcoe County 

  • PROOF OF YOUR COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION LETTER: An acceptance letter is not enough; we ask that you send the confirmation letter once you have accepted the offer from the college or university. This is letter needs to be for the  2025-2026 academic year in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited institution.  *If the letter is conditional upon applying, selected beneficiaries must submit final approval before receiving the award.

  • CHARACTER REFERENCE LETTER: Applicants must provide a character reference letter from a community agency you've been involved with or an employer.

  •  If you are attending a post-secondary institution outside of Ontario, please include proof of residency along with your other documents
